100 paintings in 100 days!
On the easel now...
This month I’m starting a fun new project and I can’t wait to share it with you. Because I’m so excited, I’m giving it to you in a nutshell first.
1. Starting on February 15, I’m going to paint 100 paintings. One each day for the next 100 days.
2. I’m offering you (my precious newsletter friends) the chance to buy them first.
3. The prices are part of the fun– keep reading to see what I mean.
What and Why
So 2009 wasn’t a very prolific year for me painting wise. I’ve determined that 2010 is going to be different in so many ways, especially in productivity. So starting February 15, I’m going to paint 100 paintings in 100 days.
But.
Chris is a bit worried about this. We don’t really have space for 100 paintings. I already have a stack of large paintings in the corner of my studio and they’re all over the walls of our house, too.
Help!
You can help, though! I’m going to paint and post the painting each day. I’ll send out an email to my newsletter list each morning with a link and the pricing info, then you can buy the painting and help me keep my studio space workable and prevent my husband from freaking out over the paintings taking over our house.
The FUN part.
To make it fun (and make sure I get the paintings out of here) I’m going to play with prices. On the first day (February 15), the painting will sell for $1. On day 2 (February 16), the price will be $2. Day 17 (March 3) the painting will be $17. Every day the price will increase one dollar until day $100 when the painting will be– yes, $100.
I’ll post the painting to my blog every evening, but I’ll send out the newsletter every morning, by 9 am Pacific time. So if you’re interested in my paintings and snagging one at a price of $3 or $10 or $20 dollars, go join the newsletter list right now. Click here.
And since prices are going to be so low (most of my originals are selling around $400, so even $100 is a steal), the winner of the painting each day will be the person whose email arrives first in my inbox (jolieguillebeau@gmail.com) for that painting that day.
You’ll have to be quick, but I bet you can do it. If there’s a painting you like, don’t wait.

We’re around day 30 as I write this– and I’m loving it!
The project has been challenging and fun at the same time. A big part of my motivation comes from the feedback I’m getting. Everyone is really excited about it– and that inspires me.
